Able Walsh
Director

Having lived and worked in Jervis Bay since 1998, starting in real estate in 2004 and launching his own business in 2006, Able has a full and complete understanding of all aspects of real estate including sales, rentals and, of course, holiday rentals.
After leaving school Able joined the Royal Australian Navy, which is how he was introduced to the Shoalhaven and when he fell in love with all it has to offer. After completing four years in the Navy, he spent a couple of years working locally in the tourism and hospitality industry on the Dolphin Watch, Whale Watch and dive boats, and in local cafes and restaurants amongst other ‘lifestyle jobs’ — the sort of grounding that means he knows the visitor experience from the inside out.
Having owned, operated and managed a number of businesses in Jervis Bay, including a real estate business, a guest house, a cafe and, of course, Experience Jervis Bay, Able has a solid understanding of both the industry and Jervis Bay itself.
Having been an active member and committee member of local tourism groups, the Chamber of Commerce, promotional groups and other local community groups, Able is in a solid position to offer advice and assist with anything related to property and Jervis Bay.
With an internal drive to consistently improve and deliver the best outcome for all involved, Able believes that using technology as a friend is a great way to provide better service and achieve better client outcomes.
Local knowledge, business experience and a genuine investment in the area combine to make Able a trusted advisor to owners and a driving force behind the team.
Outside of work Able spends as much time as he can with his family on, in or under the water — boating, surfing and diving. He also loves to cook, and always makes time for an afternoon drink.

Having grown up in a family-run holiday rental business, Hamish was always bound to continue on in the industry.
The family business consisted of 250 holiday rentals in the UK, and growing up in and around it means Hamish has a built-in understanding of what’s required to run a successful holiday rental — the standards, the systems and the small details that separate a good stay from a great one. In addition to running holiday rentals and other roles in the tourism and hospitality industry, he was also an accredited quality inspector for the English Tourism Board – Visit England, meaning he has a true understanding of standards and requirements.
Since arriving in Australia, Hamish has continued on in the tourism and hospitality sector in a number of senior roles prior to joining the team and launching the rebranding of Experience Jervis Bay. Today his focus is on rates and revenue, making sure every property in our portfolio is positioned to perform at its best across every season.
A true professional with a complete understanding of what’s required in the day to day management of a holiday rental property, your property could not be in safer hands.
Outside of work Hamish is an avid diver, loves to travel, and is far more than just a home cook, with some genuinely impressive culinary skills. Between family, hobbies and work, you won’t often find Hamish sitting still.

Having visited Jervis Bay since her teenage years, Madeleine spent many years living in the Sutherland Shire before buying a property locally in 2020 and becoming a full-time resident shortly after.
With years of customer service experience behind her in the jewellery industry, Madeleine purchased and ran her own holiday rental on the side. After making a success of that one property, she looked to further her knowledge and skills in the industry and began working for another South Coast holiday rental company.
Looking for a company with a stronger focus on guest experience and owner satisfaction, Madeleine made the move to Experience Jervis Bay. Bringing that experience to the reservations and guest services role, she goes out of her way on a daily basis to help and assist our guests, ensuring they receive a five-star experience from their first enquiry through to their day of departure.
Madeleine’s patient, helpful and understanding approach ensures every guest feels the love from Experience Jervis Bay, and means she is mentioned by name in many of our five-star reviews.
Outside of work Madeleine has a keen interest in property investment and continues to manage her own short-term rental, giving her a genuine appreciation of what matters to an owner. She also enjoys music, travel, and making the most of the South Coast lifestyle that brought her here.

Having worked in customer service since she was 17, April brings a long and varied background in looking after people to the reservations team.
April grew up in San Fernando, a small town in southern Cebu in the Philippines, and began her working life in a coffee shop before moving into restaurants as a server. From there she joined the hotel industry as a reservation agent, where she developed the eye for detail and genuine care for the guest experience that has shaped her career ever since.
April moved into property with a US-based short-term rental company, handling end-to-end guest support from the first enquiry through to departure. She also managed scheduling, coordinated with cleaning and maintenance teams, reported to property owners, processed claims, responded to reviews and oversaw daily listing management.
After a long stretch working behind the scenes with Experience Jervis Bay, April’s focus is now firmly on reservations — helping guests find and book the right property for their stay, and looking after their requests and any support they need once they arrive.
Warm, thorough and endlessly patient, April makes sure every guest is well looked after from their very first enquiry.
Outside of work April focuses on self-improvement, both physically and mentally. She enjoys exercising, travelling, exploring different cultures and trying new foods, and is a keen cook and baker.

Jenny Bainbrigge
Property Manager

Having grown up in Nowra and spent every summer at Jervis Bay from a very young age, Jenny has known and loved this stretch of coast for as long as she can remember.
Those summers made a lasting impression, and in 1985 her family made the move permanent, drawn by the relaxed lifestyle and the beaches that bring so many visitors back year after year. It’s the same lifestyle Jenny still enjoys today, and the same one she’s able to share first-hand with owners and guests alike.
After a background in retail and customer service, where she developed the attention to detail and genuine care for people that continues to define her approach, Jenny moved into real estate in 2006. Since then she has built extensive experience across both property management and holiday management, giving her a well-rounded understanding of what owners expect and what makes a stay memorable for guests.
Jenny went on to establish Jervis Bay Breaks, a holiday rental management company she ran successfully for a number of years, building a loyal following of owners and returning guests along the way. Jervis Bay Breaks has since joined Experience Jervis Bay, bringing Jenny, her properties and her considerable local knowledge across to the team.
Having built and run her own business in this industry, Jenny understands exactly what an owner wants from a manager — and delivers it every day.
Outside of work, Jenny is rarely still. She plays golf, tennis and pickleball, and enjoys cycling, swimming, kayaking, bushwalking and photography — all things the Shoalhaven does exceptionally well. When she’s not out enjoying the area, you’ll find her spending time with family.

Dave Hitchick
Property Manager
. . . Read more
Having grown up on a farm in the central west of NSW and in Bathurst, Dave holidayed on the south coast all his life before finally making the move to Jervis Bay in 2023.
The decision came after a family trip around Australia in a caravan, which convinced them they could handle living closer to the coast permanently. As Dave puts it, it just so happens that this is some of the best coast in the country.
Dave brings a genuinely broad background to the role, having worked across youth and social work, small business, the not for profit sector, and community sporting and golf club management. It’s a mix that has given him a practical, people-first approach and the ability to handle whatever a day throws at him.
His move into accommodation began in 2023 at the Kangaroo Valley Golf Club, and he has since trained across reservations, onboarding and property management, building a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to look after a property and the people staying in it.
A natural problem solver who genuinely enjoys fixing things, Dave is exactly the person an owner wants on the other end of the phone.
Outside of work Dave enjoys golf, diving and sport in general — these days, he admits, more watching than playing — along with spending time with his family on the coast that brought them here.
