Located in Falls Creek on the South Coast of New South Wales, Shoalhaven Skirmish operates a range of outdoor and indoor group activities, including paintball, laser skirmish, archery tag, and themed escape rooms. The bushland venue combines natural features with purpose-built obstacles, making it a practical choice for birthdays, corporate team building, school groups, and social events.
The Experience
Game areas are spread throughout natural bushland and include open clearings, mature gum trees, scrub, timber barricades, tractor tyres, and corrugated steel obstacles. The varied terrain encourages teamwork, movement, and strategy while creating different styles of gameplay across each field. Paintball sessions use compressed-air markers, while laser skirmish uses infrared taggers on many of the same outdoor fields, allowing participants to enjoy similar objective-based games without paintball impacts. Archery tag uses foam-tipped arrows and protective face masks in supervised games.
The games involve moderate physical activity, requiring participants to run, crouch, and navigate between open clearings and shaded bushland.
Practical Tips
The outdoor courses can be hot during summer, particularly when wearing protective gear, while humidity may occasionally cause face masks to fog. Uneven tracks, loose dirt, exposed roots, and agricultural ruts make sturdy closed-toe footwear with good grip essential.
Wear lightweight clothing beneath the supplied equipment and bring sunscreen, insect repellent, water, and a change of clothes if you’re continuing your day around Jervis Bay. Morning sessions generally provide cooler conditions during warmer months, while rainfall can leave sections of the course muddy and more challenging underfoot.
Facilities & Visitor Information
Equipment is supplied for each activity. Paintball includes protective masks and playing equipment, laser skirmish uses infrared taggers and sensor equipment, and archery tag includes bows, foam-tipped arrows, and protective face masks. Safety briefings are conducted before each session, and on-site parking is available near the entrance.
Advance bookings are recommended for weekends, school holidays, birthdays, corporate events, and larger groups. Spring and autumn generally provide the most comfortable conditions, while summer sessions are best scheduled earlier in the day. Rain can leave parts of the bush courses muddy.
