Situated at the eastern tip of Jervis Bay, getting there is part of the adventure, with a drive along Jervis Bay Road, also known as Naval College Road, leading to a convenient car park that marks the beginning of this natural paradise. The walk to the beach through coastal bushland is easy and enchanting. You might come across some interesting wildlife like Echidnas, Wallabies, or even a majestic Diamond Python going about their daily business. And then, the trail opens up to reveal Murrays Beach—a stunning stretch of white sand and clear waters that perfectly captures the beauty of the area. Murrays Beach has something for everyone. The western side is great for snorkeling, offering a fantastic underwater world to explore. On the eastern side, there are rocky ledges perfect for those who enjoy a bit of exploration or fishing. Look north, and you’ll see Bowen Island, a special place reserved for Little Penguins, guarded by park rangers. If you’re there during sunrise or sunset, you might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of these adorable penguins. But Murrays Beach isn’t just about the sand and sea.
